Brittney Burchett is part of the core team that established the Technology Innovation Practice, where she now takes a leadership role. By uniting the brightest minds of Unisys across all business units through a virtual platform, she empowers those with opportunities, challenges, ideas and innovative technologies to come together in order to create and expand new opportunities for the business.
After graduating from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Bio-Engineering, Brittney started off her career as a software engineer. During this time she expanded upon her propensity to create, leading her to file six patents. Four have since issued that comprise advances in cloud-based active password managers; service partition virtualization system and method having a secure application; and reduced service partition virtualization system and method.
During her time at Unisys, she has introduced novel and beneficially disruptive ways of working to the organization. These initiatives include leading an open innovation partnership and competition with West Chester, Pa. technology incubator
Walnut St. Labs to develop a friendly user interface (UI) and user experience for the
Unisys Stealth® solution, as well as global hackathons throughout the Technology Organization within Unisys. From her accomplishments with innovation, the Philadelphia Business Journal awarded Brittney the 2016 Tech Disruptor Award. She has also presented innovation best practices at conferences such as
IRI that are focused around creating innovation leadership solutions.
