Proven Performance

Agencies across government trust Unisys to deliver complex IT solutions – on time and on budget. Here are a few examples of how we support our clients and their missions:

  • Air Force: We provide engineering and technical support under the Air Force J-TECH (Joint Range Technical Services) contract – supporting 500 servers across four continental U.S. sites and enabling our client to maintain 100 percent on-time delivery. We also helped J-TECH develop and implement ISO and CMMI compliant processes and procedures.
  • Agriculture: Rural Development’s (RD) engaged Unisys to support its mission to promote home ownership and develop a Guaranteed Underwriting System that automates the loan underwriting process. Results include decreased stress and underwriting decision wait times for homebuyers; reduced cost and time with manual underwriting processes for lenders; and for RD, the system reduces risk through more standardized processes, improves loan portfolio performance and enables more consistent underwriting decisions.
  • Customs and Border Protection: We deployed automated border security technology at all major land border crossings to enable the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative—on time, on target and on budget. And, under CBP’s Land Border Integration program, our advanced technology solution speeds the flow of approximately 25,000 pedestrians daily at the world’s busiest land border crossing in San Ysidro, California—more efficiently identifying pedestrians crossing the border while improving security for CBP officers and providing a welcoming environment for the traveling public.
  • Defense Information Systems Agency: For decades, Unisys enables DISA’s mission of providing critical support to war fighters with services including Unisys OS 2200 IT capacity, software licenses, maintenance and technical support to more than 92,000 users of DISA and DOD mission partners worldwide. Part of DISA ClearPath Capacity Services, our 24/7/365 operational, technical and application support (Levels 1 thru 4) have consistently exceeded contract service level agreements; and our system availability metrics consistently exceed 99.99% monthly.
  • Energy (Idaho National Laboratory): We helped Energy’s INL transition 5,000 users to the cloud—giving employees secure access to email and data, reducing costs and empowering personnel to collaborate and perform vital work more efficiently with improved system uptime and availability. This program involved a complex security architecture, integrated mobile device management, and successful risk management and change management.
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation: We deliver the Combined DNA Indexing System, containing offender profiles for rapid identification.
  • Federal Financial Institution Examination Council: We modernized the central data repository serving all U.S. banks, resulting in reduced response time of more than three days to less than three hours; and reduced time for public availability of call report data from over one week to 24 hours.
  • General Services Administration: We performed the first federal agency migration to cloud-based email and collaboration tools in government-moving 17,000 GSA employees to Google Apps for Government in less than six months. GSA estimates that moving to Google Apps will lower email costs by 50 percent, saving more than $15 million over five years. GSA’s large mobile workforce can now access work information anywhere, anytime; and has modern and real-time collaboration tools that help employees work together more effectively.
  • Interior: The Unisys Team helped to migrate the Interior’s SAP financial management system to a cloud-based platform. This is the first known instance of an SAP migration from a government data center to a government cloud offered by a commercial cloud service provider—helping to lower costs and provide highly accessible services to users.
  • Internal Revenue Service: In the first on-demand storage as a service via private cloud, Unisys planned, built, deployed and maintains a storage environment that transitioned more than 7.5 petabytes previously housed in multiple IRS data centers and facilities. In the first full year of deployment, the IRS achieved a 30 percent cost savings with Unisys’ innovative, pay-as-you-go, private cloud solution.
  • Justice: We provide support to the Asset Forfeiture Program’s Consolidated Asset Tracking System (CATS), the program’s centerpiece and the system that holds the data related to assets from the time they are seized by the government to when they are forfeited and auctioned off, repurposed or returned. Unisys maintains, enhances, modernizes and operates CATS software and other related systems; and delivers associated services for help desk, security and systems integration.
  • National Archives and Records Administration transitioned from its legacy environment by moving 4,500 users to Google Apps for Government with Unisys as its partner. This highly-collaborative, cloud-based project includes an integrated records management solution that meets the extremely high standards of our nation’s record keeper-helping the agency to safeguard and preserve U.S. government records.
  • Targeting and Analysis Systems Program Office: Our systems provide risk assessments for all travelers, cargo shipment and conveyances entering the US on a daily basis—the largest intelligence-driven risk management system in the world.
